Marabeth was sitting at Starbucks drinking her large, double shot, extra foamed mocha cappuccino through her little green straw. She sat by herself as she looked around bored trying to find something interesting to stare at. All she saw was endless teens and their drama, mothers and their crying children, or some creep who awkwardly walks in, sits down and doesn't order. She sighed, her black hair down midback. Her Victorian styled black dress was flowing due to the blasting air conditioner right above her. She was about a third done with the caffinated drink when she thought about another one.
Ivan sat at a table with a steamy hit chocolate. He sipped in it slowly and steadily. He noticed out of the corner of his eye a girl In Victorian style clothing. She seamed preoccupied by a thought. He looked down wondering if she had noticed the Russian with the pink scarf staring at her.
"I'm Russian, I know everything about snow."
"My homeland is very large and cold and people hate each other quietly."
As her eyes continued to wonder around the coffee shop her eyes met with someone's. She noticed he looked innocent, almost like a child. She halfway smiled at him then continued to observe what was going on around her. Then another mother and her child came in. Marabeth got slightly annoyed when the child screamed out when 'it' didn't get what they wanted.
"Hey" was all she responded to him. She didn't know the guy, but he did seem pretty friendly. So after she ordered and recieved another cappuccino she went and sat back down. "I'm Marabeth" she said kind of awkwardly. She isn't very social so this was all new and weird for her, but she tried to make the best of it.
