Marabeth heard something different... no not something, someone. She slowly went downstairs following where she heard the new voice coming from, and stood there expressionless looking at the two of them. Her black dress hanging at her sides, and her black platform boots making her look a few inches taller than she really is. "Who are you?" she asked monotoned to the stranger who was in her house with her brother.

Vera looked at the fire for a few more moments before looking at the new person. She gave her a small wave, although suddenly found herself uncomfortable around the new person. "H-hello! Im Vera" she replied, uneased by the monotonious voice.
Her eyes squinted as if trying to look deep into her soul, "I've never seen you before..." she continued "normally people don't like to visit...". She still stood in the same place, she hated strangers, especially when they are around her friends.
(Aw... I kinda sound really mean... Don't take it heart! haha that's just her character)

Vera shifted a bit under the intense gaze, feeling more and more uncomfotable. She quickly looked at her feet and quickly mumbled in russian before saying sorry, just loud enough for the woman to hear.
Her face didn't change 'Why is she apologizing?' she thought but wouldn't say. "Was that russian I heard?" she asked, 'At least she is slavic... but she seems very antisocial' she thought not realizing that Vera was feeling uncomfortable by her gaze. She almost looked like a manikin, she didn't move, and you could hardly tell she was blinking.
Vlad was tired of watching Mara interrogate his new friend. He walked over to his sister and nudged her on the shoulder. "Don't be so rude. " he then walked back as though nothing had happened. He then looked to Vera "don't worry she isn't exactly friendly around strangers."

She tilted her head a bit, chancing a look at Mara. Something came to mind when she heard that word. Russian. Vera quickly dismissed it as it was starting to bug her. She hadnt really ment to say anything in russian, she just did. " I guess it was.... Russian." She's eemed to pause on the word, seeming a tad confused. As Vlad walked back over Vera smiled a bit and nodded, hoping that maybe Mara would become more friendly with a bit of time.
(So I got called creepy today... I didn't know what to say so I said thanks... haha oh well!)
She glanced madly at Vlad as he disregarded her and told her to be more nice. Then she looked back at Vera, she stepped foward and stopped again. "Nice to meet you... Vera" she tried to sound somewhat polite, but you could never tell with her monotoned voice. Marabeth stood there once again frozen solid in place as she continued to analyze the situation... and Vera.

Vera smiled a bit more, encouraged a bit that Mara was at least trying to be friendly. "Nice to mmeet you to..." She trailed off, trying to remember if the womans naame had been mentioned and if so what it was. "Uh, sorry, what was your name agaon?" She asked, assuming she had forgotten it.
Her mouth barely moved as she spoke, "Marabeth" she said her coldly forgetting to act polite. She stared daggers at Vera, and if looks could kill... this would be one of them. 'Nice to meet me? She's a liar... I see it, why would someone be happy to meet me?... she also seems really forgetful... not trustworthy' she was thinking.

Vera flinched involentarily, her brain now spinning. What is up with.... She just said her name... Ma...mara.... Marabeth! Why is she acting like this? Vera glanced down again, twirling her fingers a bit out of awkwardness, lookinng like a child who is about to be scolded.
Marabeth hated strangers. The first time she had been introduced to one scarred her. Some time ago Vladimir was head over heels for a girl, her name was Elizabeth. Marabeth had a bad feeling about her, but didn't tell Vlad, knowing his feelings, maybe she should just give her a chance. But once they had met, Vlad spent less and less time with her. Soon enough, Elizabeth had him wrapped around her little finger, he was in love with her. It sickened Marabeth to see her best friend as someone's follower, doing whatever they wanted, it was disgraceful. Elizabeth took everything he had and claimed it all for herself, and just mocked Marabeth in her now poverty-stricken self with all she had stolen. Marabeth hated strangers, that's why she has a cold shoulder towards anyone new... especially a girl. She still stood there, trying to figure out Vera.

(Sorry this is soooo fricken late...)
Vera stood there awkwardly, casting a quick glance at Vlad hoping he would say something. She had never been great with strangers, and Marabeth didn't seem to help that.
Vlad rubbed his hand on the back of his head. There were strange vibes coming from each of the girls. He could see that same look on maras face as before. He frowned at them both. "So Vera what kind of music do you like?" He attempted to break the awkwardness in the air.
